Commissions never affect what we publish. We do not sell rankings, placements, or positive coverage, and we do not accept payment to change the substance of a guide.
A guide is written for the reader first. If a service is not relevant to a page, we do not add a link to it, regardless of what it pays.
How offers are selected
When we include a commercial link, it is chosen for relevance to the page and to Canadian readers — not for the size of the commission. We look at whether the service is available to people in Canada and whether its terms are clear enough for a reader to understand.
Editorial content is provider-neutral by design; commercial links are added separately from the guides themselves. Links to our own free tools are not affiliate links and earn us nothing.
How we mark affiliate links
